A Building Management System (BMS): is a computer-based control system installed in buildings that controls and monitors the building’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as: HVAC, ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems. This project involves the design of BMS for HVAC systems already exists in the old administrative building of Petrobel Company, replace the old MCC panels , design of DDC panels and design of cable tray (control cables). The objective or the need for BMS, that BMS systems are a critical component to managing energy demand, control power consumption and maintenance. This Report documents site visits for collection of technical data, the project plan, all the design process and the development of old control panels. Generally, the objective of a building management system (BMS) is to manage the sub-systems within a building to ensure a pleasant, controlled and safe environment. Also to study the air-conditioning (AC) system inside PETROBEL Company. This is done in order to aid us to review application of building management system (BMS) suitable to be linked to this (AC) system. Other mechanical, electrical systems have also been studied.
