Problems of accounting education: Evidence from Egypt

This study aims to test the problems that are obstructing the development of accounting education and the accountancy profession. This study uses the primary approach through designing and distributing a questionnaire for a random sample of academics working in accounting education career in the public and private universities. Our sample covered two levels of academics (lectures and Teaching Assistant). The study uses a quantitative approach in analysing the collected data through applying SPSS program. The result of study indicate that skills and competency of instructors and students, lack of resources of accounting education, and teaching ethics are problems of accounting education in Egypt.
